Many recurring headaches are linked to the neck and jaw: tight muscles at the base of the skull, stiff upper neck joints, clenching, or long hours at a screen. Chiropractic care may help reduce how often tension-type and neck-related headaches show up. Migraines have their own triggers, so we work alongside your physician, not instead of them.
What it feels like
A band of pressure around the head, pain that starts at the base of the skull and wraps forward, a sore jaw in the morning, or headaches that follow long screen days.
How we help
We map your headache pattern first, when they start, where they sit, what makes them better or worse, then treat the neck and jaw structures that seem to be involved.
Headache history and trigger review
Upper neck mobilization and soft-tissue release
Jaw (TMJ) assessment and self-care with Dr. Sam Whitaker
Posture, hydration and screen-break habits
Common questions
Can you treat migraines?
We can help with the neck and muscle tension that often comes with them. Migraine diagnosis and medication belong with your physician.
Which headaches need a doctor right away?
The worst headache of your life, a headache with fever and a stiff neck, confusion, vision loss or weakness, call 911.
Do you treat jaw pain?
Yes. Dr. Whitaker focuses on TMJ problems and jaw-related headaches.
This page is general information, not a diagnosis. Results vary from person to person. Sudden weakness, numbness in the groin or loss of bladder or bowel control needs emergency care. Call 911.
