First visit $59, 60 minutes
Sciatica describes irritation of the sciatic nerve or the nerve roots that form it, often from a disc, tight hip muscles or narrowing around the nerve. It can be intense, but many cases improve with conservative care. Our job is to find the source, calm things down and keep you moving safely.
What it feels like
Burning or electric pain in the buttock or back of the leg, pins and needles in the calf or foot, or pain that gets worse when you sit, cough or bend forward.
How we help
Leg symptoms need a careful exam. We run neurological and orthopedic tests before any treatment and re-check them as you progress.
Neurological and orthopedic testing to locate the source
Gentle spinal and pelvic adjustments where appropriate
Nerve-glide and hip mobility exercises
A plan to sit, sleep and work with fewer flare-ups
Common questions
Will I need surgery?
Most people with sciatica don’t. If you have progressive weakness or other red flags, we refer you to a spine physician right away.
Can I still exercise?
Usually yes, with some changes. We’ll give you a short list of what to keep doing and what to pause for now.
How fast does it improve?
It varies. Many patients report less leg pain within a few weeks, while nerve symptoms like numbness can take longer to settle.
This page is general information, not a diagnosis. Results vary from person to person. Sudden weakness, numbness in the groin or loss of bladder or bowel control needs emergency care. Call 911.
